Tránsito de la luz es una serie de 64 cuadros pintados para una exposición en el monasterio de Santa Inés en Sevilla, el Museo do Mar en Vigo, el Chicago Cultural Center en Chicago y las Cocheras del Puerto de Huelva.
El tema es una masa de agua en movimiento y la serie tiene tres procesos paralelos: la luz, movimiento del agua y textura de la pintura.
En los primeros cuadros hay una luz de amanecer sobre unas aguas en calma y una textura plana. Cuadro tras cuadro la luz sube, el mar se agita y la pincelada se hace mas suelta hasta acabar en el centro de la exposición con las aguas de una violenta tormenta con luz de medio día. A partir de aquí la luz va bajando, el mar se calma y la pincelada es cada vez mas contenida. La serie concluye con la aparición de la primera luz de la luna.
La exposición puede colgarse, convencionalmente, en las paredes; pero consigue una belleza especial al colgarse suspendida del techo. Cada cuadro tiene detrás otro del mismo tamaño y un bastidor entre ambos.
El espacio esta a oscuras y con focos de recorte se ilumina solamente la superficie del cuadro. Es aconsejable una música de fondo de Mahler y Bruckner.

Transition of light is a series of 64 paintings for an exhibition at the monastery of St. Inés in Seville, the Museum of the Sea (Museo do Mar) in Vigo and the Chicago Cultural Center and now in “Las Cocheras” at the Port of Huelva.
The subject is a mass of moving water and the series has three parallel processes: light, water movement and the texture of paint.
In the first paintings, there is a view of the first morning light over calm water with flat brush strokes. Painting after painting, the light increases and the water becomes more agitated with looser brush strokes until it finishes in the middles in a violent storm of the light of midday. From here the light decreases, the sea becomes calm and the brush strokes are increasingly contained. The series ends with the appearance of the first moonlight.
The exhibition can be hung on walls in the conventional way but a special beauty happens by hanging the paintings, from the ceiling, suspended in air. In this exhibition, each painting of the same size is hung back to back with a frame in between them.
The space is dark and each painting is outlined with individual spotlights while the music of Mahler and Bruckner plays in the background.New Paragraph
